Business Terms and Conditions
• An adult over the age of 18 must be present while technician is on-site.
• Computer must be easily accessible at time of appointment.
• Computer must be in working condition and compatible for chosen upgrades.
• Microsoft Windows® 7 or Linux are supported.
• It is possible to provide limited support for older
versions of Windows such as Windows Vista and Windows XP; however we do
not support
Windows95, Windows98, WindowsNT, Windows2000, or WindowsME
as these operating systems are too far out of date and too expensive to
support.
• Additional charges apply for hardware and/or software upgrades needed to
complete the requested service.
• Hardware and software purchased for repair are subject to their individual
warranty as applied by the manufacturer.
• We guarantee the workmanship of the requested service for seven days following
the date the service was performed. Subsequent reconfiguration or changes and
modifications to the computers or products serviced void the labor warranty.
• Changes in appointments should be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling
us.
• We reserve the right to rearrange or cancel appointments, but will make every
effort to accommodate customer's first choice of date and time.
• We will travel to your location and work on-site within the Minneapolis/St
Paul metropolitan area; however due to the rapidly increasing cost of fuel, we
require a trip charge of $25.00. For areas outside of the Minneapolis/Saint Paul
Minnesota metro area such as Elk River, Rogers, Isanti, etc for example, a we
charge a bit more on the trip charge depending on location; but it's still going
to be very reasonable. Please contact us for details.
• Larger projects may be negotiated for a job rate versus an hourly rate. Call
for a quote.
• Pyramid Technologies has a strict policy for handling customer information.
The information you provide to Pyramid Technologies is confidential and
protected to the fullest extent possible. Pyramid Technologies will not disclose
or distribute customer information to third parties. For complete details,
please review the following policies:
• By accessing the Pyramid Technologies website, you agree to be bound by the
terms and conditions stated within. If you do not agree to all of the Terms and
Conditions, please do not use the Pyramid Technologies website. Pyramid
Technologies may from time to time modify or revise the Terms and Conditions by
updating this Web page. Your use of the Pyramid Technologies website following
any such change constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the Terms
and Conditions as changed. If any change is unacceptable to you, your only
recourse is to terminate your use of the Pyramid Technologies website.
• It is our policy to respect the privacy of individuals who visit the Site or
provide Comments to us. Our privacy policy is incorporated herein by reference.
By accepting these Terms, you expressly consent to the use and disclosure of
your personally identifiable and other information as described in the Privacy
Policy.
• These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in
accordance with the laws of Minnesota without giving effect to any principles of
conflicts of law. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall be
unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be
deemed severable from these Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the
validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. These Terms and
Conditions are effective unless and until terminated Pyramid Technologies.
• Remote support services may be offered to you over the telephone or via the
Internet if you have a working cable or DSL high speed Internet connection. If
you elect to receive remote support, then Pyramid Technologies remotely logs on
through your high-speed Internet connection to view your computer desktop.
Pyramid Technologies stays in contact with you to keep you fully informed on
every step of the process as your computer problem is resolved. Remote support
may involve the installation of software on your computer that will allow
Pyramid Technologies to provide the remote support services. By electing to
receive remote support, you agree to allow Pyramid Technologies to use whatever
tools deemed necessary to repair your computer, including remote access. You
understand that if remote access is used on your computer there will be no
residual software from the remote session; however, there may be a text file
placed on your computer that will explain the work that was done on your
computer. If such a text file is placed on your computer, you have the option to
either save the file for future reference or to delete it from your computer.
• YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: You understand and agree that prior to contacting or
allowing Pyramid Technologies to perform diagnostic repair or other services on
your computer, it is your responsibility to back-up the data, software,
information or other files stored on your computer disks and/or drives. You
acknowledge and agree that Pyramid Technologies shall not be responsible under
any circumstance for any loss or corruption of data and/or software.
• LIMITATIONS TO SERVICE: PYRADMIN TECHNOLOGIES RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFRAIN
FROM PROVIDING ANY AND/OR ALL REQUESTED REMOTE SERVICES AND INSTEAD REFUND YOUR
PAYMENT, WHOLLY OR IN PART, ON THE BASIS THAT YOUR TECHNICAL NEEDS OR OTHER
REQUIREMENTS ARE UNUSUAL OR EXTENSIVE AND BEYOND THE SCOPE OF THIS SERVICE
AGREEMENT AS REASONABLY DETERMINED BY PYRAMID TECHNOLOGIES.
• LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: To the extent permitted by law, you agree that
Pyramid Technologies total liability for damages related to its remote services
is limited to the total amount you pay for the remote services, and you release
Pyramid Technologies from liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or
consequential damages. Pyramid Technologies IS NOT LIABLE FOR LOSS, ALTERATION,
OR CORRUPTION OF ANY DATA OR FOR YOUR INABILITY TO USE YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT
OR OTHER PRODUCT.
• LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & RELEASE
• By signing the required form, you agree to release and hold harmless Pyramid
Technologies, from and against any loss, liability, or damage, including without
limitation, any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, expense,
costs, profits, lost savings or earnings or liability that you, the owner, or
lessee may suffer arising out of, or related to, the services provided by
Pyramid Technologies. This includes but is not limited to data loss or lack of
function in any component or element of your computer system and/or peripherals,
as a result of Pyramid Technologies. Regardless of the warranties, disclaimers,
and waivers.
• *NOTE: This offer is designed for individual and small to medium business
users only. We invite customers with more than 3 (three) computers or multiple
technologies needs to talk to us about a further customized service and pricing
plan.
• Pyramid Technologies reserves the right to reject service to anyone at any
time depending on the circumstances. You are required to let out technicians
know of any damage, if you fail to do so Pyramid Technologies and our
technicians will not be responsible.
• On all computer repairs, upgrades and troubleshooting, we only warranty the
“service” that was performed for a period of one month which does not include
any software issues created and/or caused by the “end user” such as virus,
spyware, tampering with the settings etc.
• We absolutely do not cover any misuse, tampering, abuse, fire, theft,
accidental damage, surges, spikes, brownouts, software issues created by the end
user, virus, spyware etc. This applies to all our services.
• Pyramid Technologies will make every reasonable effort to protect your data.
However, it is possible that data can be lost due to factors beyond our control.
You, the customer, are responsible for backing up your data to removable media.
We may back up your data for you at your request, if your system has the
necessary components to do so onsite or by other means at our headquarters.
Pyramid Technologies will not be held responsible in any way for lost data, or
any loss of revenue or income resulting from such loss. The customer understands
that ALL DATA WILL BE LOST if we have to format your hard drive and it is not
backed up, including any applications that are not included with your version of
Windows, that you do not have legal CD’s for. You also understand that during
the course of service data (personal files) can become corrupt, unusable; in
such case you will not hold Pyramid Technologies responsible.
• Pyramid Technologies will only offer a limited liability in case of unforeseen
circumstances beyond our control. If your computer problem reoccurs subsequent
to a service call, or another problem occurs, this will be considered a separate
issue, and if a service call is requested, you will be charged our regular rate.
Hardware warranty is via original manufacturers only unless otherwise specified
in the contract.
• Data backup, ghosting, drive imaging, drive copying and data transfer depends
on the condition of your disk and data integrity. Charges apply.
• You will void your warranty if you or any other unauthorized person adds or
removes any device from the network. Removes our cables, change any settings in
the network, moves any data jacks that we install. Refer to your service
contract and/or invoice for warranty information.
• Pyramid Technologies technicians are not responsible for tutoring. We do not
support any kind of games, illegal downloading software, CD burning, DVD burning
etc.
• Pyramid Technologies will not do any work without your consent, if our
technicians find anything else wrong with your system besides what you
mentioned, you will be notified with an estimate. If you agree work will be done
and you can pay the balance upon pickup. If you disagree you will be charged a
$50 diagnostic fee.
• 15 days return on Hardware purchases with a 15% restocking fee. No return on
Software purchases.
Agree to pay any expenses, materials and labor.
Agree to all terms, conditions and company policies.
Authorize Pyramid Technologies to perform work on your PC, network and/or any
other technical service.
You agree that the technician has documented all the necessary information about
your (PC, Printer, any other equipment) in the front.
